10 days ago we delivered our baby boy, and we are so grateful. We got home on Sunday, June 14th and have been just trying to recover from delivery. I also have been dealing with this horrible sciatica hip pain and that has been making my mobility very limited unfortunately. I am working with my doctor to make a plan to help me recover, but it definitely isn’t easy.
With that, it has been important for me to have everything I need close by. Our nursery is on the other side of the house, which can make it difficult to walk back and forth. I decided it was necessary for me to bring all of my frequently used items in our bedroom. I decided to create a postpartum and newborn cart. This has been so helpful for me to have everything in one place.
Newborn Cart Ideas
To create my newborn cart I used just 5 storage organizers to make it happen.
White Cart
White Bins
Ubbi Wipe Dispenser
Clear Acrylic Canister
Clear Rectangle bin
I dedicated 1 shelf for my nursing and postpartum care. It included my breast pump, tissues, Lanolin nipple cream, Lansinoh Breast Therapy Pads, and nursing pads. You can customize this however best fits your needs.
The other 2 shelves were dedicated to all things baby. I have diapers, wipes, diaper creams, pacifiers, burp cloths, swaddle blankets, suction, and baby lotions.
Make this however best will suit your needs. The purpose of this cart is to cut back on you having to walk all around the house while you are adjusting to having a newborn. Create the cart with what you think you may need, and then you can always modify it based on what you are using the most.
If you love the idea of cart organization I also previously created a craft cart that has also been helpful! You can check it out here.
