Halloween Cocktail – Bloody Pomegranate Margarita

Bloody Pomegranate Margarita in a skeleton hand glass with bat straws. The perfect Halloween cocktail.

We’re back with another round of DRINKS WITH RICK! Y’all know Rick is the life of any party, and he always has the drinks flowing. This Bloody Pomegranate Margarita is not only festive but also gives a perfect mixture of not too tart and not too sweet for your spooky festivities.

Rick used silver tequila for this recipe also known as tequila blanco. A few of our favorite silver tequilas are Espolón Blanco, Don Julio, Patrón, and El Jimador. However I suggest you use whatever tequila you naturally enjoy. You can even substitute silver tequila for a reposado tequila.

Now I rated this drink an 9.5 out of 10 because I liked that it was a little sweet, the look of the drink (the cup defiantly helped in that category), and I’m a sucker for a good margarita. However Rick rated the margarita an 8 out of 10 he said that he deducted points, because he thought the drink could have been stronger.

We chose to blend this margarita, but you’re more than welcome to serve it on the rocks. I felt that blending the drink added to the look, creating almost a brain-like illusion. If you make this drink and agree with Rick that it should be stronger I would suggest taking .25 oz of tequila and pouring it down the straw into the drink. This will instantly make the drink stronger without adding a full extra shot to it. Overall, either way you go, this drink is sure to be a winner for you to enjoy winding down after a long day or a drink for your spooktacular guests.

Here are the tools we used:
