Calvin’s Laser Tag Birthday Party

I can’t believe Calvin is now 10 years old! That’s an entire decade of being a mom to the kindest soul I know. It’s not every day you enter double-digits, so I knew this year’s party had to be one he couldn’t forget. When I asked Calvin what he wanted his birthday party theme to be, he instantly said “Laser Tag!” At that moment, I could clearly envision the party, and I am so thankful it turned out to be exactly what I pictured! The theme was spot on, and you really felt like you were in a laser tag war zone! All the details came together and transformed our backyard. We were so happy to celebrate him and put together this fun laser tag birthday party!

The Decor and Details

The decor was the star of this party (besides Calvin, of course)! As soon as you entered the backyard, it felt like you entered a new universe. Seeing Calvin’s first look at the party was the best feeling! The balloon display, backdrops, floral arrangements, and every other little detail down to the straws were perfectly thought out.

The Food & Bar

This year, we decided to keep the food simple. We knew the kids were going to be excited to play and running around, so we went with quick and easy finger foods. It was the best choice we have ever made! You can never go wrong with mac and cheese, sliders, and pizza bites for a 10-year-old’s party.

The cake was a masterpiece! It was very tasty, and the decoration was perfect for the theme.

We also had a dessert table with cupcakes and cake pops!

We decided to keep the bar pretty small this year. We had two signature alcoholic drinks, Laser-ita and Targeted Pineapple Delight, both of which were loved by all the adults! We also had Calvin’s Electric Punch, which was a hit with all of his buddies.
