Spring is upon us, which means I always end up getting the itch to update or refresh a space in our home. In most cases, Rick then is reminding me over our budget. Ha!
Truthfully, I am pretty pleased with most of my home. Every space had overall everything I would want. The only major area was our informal dining room that needed a face lift.
We are constantly entertaining people at our home. Our home does have 2 dining rooms, but naturally our formal goes unused most of the time when we have company over. With that, it was time to spruce up the informal dining room area that gets most of our time.
I have partnered with At Home stores to pull off this update that allowed me to transform this space and keep it affordable. See below how I updated my informal dining space.
Update Dinnerware Set
This was a simple way to give this space a face lift! Normally I only do neutrals. but I wanted to add some color to give life to the table setting.
Swap Out Wall Art
One of the easiest ways to transform a space is by adding some different wall art! If you want to change your color scheme a bit, artwork is a perfect way to do this. My current color scheme is only really Navy and Gold. However, as we are preparing to buy a new home, I really have been wanting to switch it up bit. I am thinking adding lighter color blues as well. I absolutely love this picture I found from At Home.
Spring Blooms
Centerpieces for dining tables are a necessity. Regardless, of what type of centerpiece you get I strongly suggest it because it completes the table. However, some centerpiece designs can get pretty pricey. One of the most affordable centerpieces you can do is to add flowers. I love hydrangeas and how it adds an elegant flare
Add Fun Drink and Barware
What better way to entertain than to add some fun drinkware! I saw these Gold polka dots glasses and thought it would be a fun addition. It changes the dynamic of the table place setting.
Change the Rug
First, I have been wanting to swap out our rug for a while now. While I like it the colors didn’t match completely, so secretly in the back of my head it irked me a bit.
With these simple changes it gave our space a face lift, and prepared it for gatherings in this space. Our informal dining room is ready for Spring and for some gatherings! I cannot wait to entertain in this space. Head to your local At Home to grab some of my selections.
