I love creating fun memories for my kids, and lately, I’ve been trying to be more intentional about making new fun experiences at home. I like to take a normal home activity and take it up a notch! For our latest adventure, I wanted to transform the kids’ bath time into an out-of-this-world experience. So, I got on Amazon and found outer space themed items I needed! The kids had the best time, and it didn’t take long to set up, so I wanted to share everything I used to create this!
The Items
Kneeler and Elbow Rest Pad Set
Creating this outer space theme did require me to get some additional items, but it was all about transforming the space and making it exciting for the kids! The planet stickers were a fun touch to add to the walls of the bath and were easy to remove. I also got us a bubble machine rocket ship! A quick warning: it can get pretty loud when you turn it on because of its siren, but the kids had so much fun playing with all the bubbles it made.
Of course, we had to have a bubble bath, but to make it even more special, I found a kit of 12 planet bath bombs and bath color fizz to turn the water into a galaxy of colors! I also got water-activated glow space toys.
This knee and elbow pad is a game changer for bath times! No longer do I have to kneel there uncomfortably while the kids play, or when I’m bathing them. It’s very comfortable and comes with storage for toys and can hold any of your bath essentials.
The real star of the show is this little astronaut guy! It is a projector light with many settings. This is what really brought the whole theme together. Not only does it change the colors of the galaxy, but it also shines lights to create stars! It shines very bright when the lights are on but once I turned the lights off, it really was an outer space party!

Watch How I Created This
Making simple moments a little more special for the kids has been such a fun way to spend some quality family time. I loved seeing their reactions as they walked into the transformed bathroom. Seeing their faces light up and watching them play, I know core memories were being made. Doing this inspires me to try other bath themed ideas. Let me know in the comments what theme I should do next!
