Nursery Reveal

We have finally completed Cyrus’s nursery, and I am in love with how it turned out!  Yes he just turned 6 months but I wasn’t really in a rush to complete considering we knew he would be downstairs with us for a while.

To be honest this has been such a fun experience for us and exciting accomplishment.  Yes, Cyrus is our third child, but this is the first time I have completed a baby’s nursery in a home that we own. For Cam we had a nursery in our apartment but moved shortly after Cam was born.  Calvin we were in the process of moving cross country and then lived with my sister as we transitioned into our apartment.  Now FINALLY, we have a child OUR own home, and it feels amazing!

With that, it has been fun and didn’t want to rush the process.  The other boys decor both happen to be Navy and Red, so I knew I wanted to do a different color scheme.  I really didn’t want it to be blue at all considering many rooms in my house are some form of blue. Then, I also went on the hunt to find a theme that didn’t seem so much for a little baby.

So we went with the SOLAR SYSTEM!  I love this decor because it will be easy to transition when he is a toddler.  The colors are Red, Gray, and yellow and the primary colors.

Sine this is the first home we owned we never really painted the previous nursery walls.  So first thing we did was paint the walls gray!

Crib, Dress, and Changing table:  We thankfully were able to use Calvin’s furniture.  The only thing I did was switch out the knobs for the red ones.

As you know I love finishing off a room with personalizations! I got his Wall monogram and pillow stats from Etsy.  I love how Etsy helps make a house a home.

Chair and ottoman: I don’t know if you have looked for nursery chairs but they can be pretty pricey! I knew I didn’t want a chair to break the bank.  Believe it or not I found the chair and ottoman at Walmart for an amazing price!

Bedding: I got my bedding from Land of Nod, which is now called Crate and Kids.  It was a unique design that was different I felt made his room not the typical baby nursery.

Bear and Sunshine Artwork:  I wanted to add pieces that made Cyrus’s room feel cozy.  I fortunately received the Wild bear and artwork from Cuddle and Kind.  What I love more about supporting this brand, is their mission.  For every doll that is sold Cuddle and Kind donates 10 meals. How awesome is that?  The doll is great quality and pretty large.

My outfit:  Top, Jeans, Earrings, Shoes

Cyrus’s shoes c/o of Freshly Picked!
