Wedding season is here, and with more than a couple on our list I have been trying to figure out what to wear. Now that I live in Texas I have still been wrestling with the fact of what to wear to semi-formal events. I am almost never comfortable with the temperature here. Either I am melting from the heat, or freezing because the AC is blasting. So I was curious what to wear dress to wear that would be weather appropriate.
For the warmer months the perfect dress to wear to a wedding in my opinion is not too revealing, light fabric, and vibrant colors. I was able to find a dress with all of those qualities, and I felt like I hit the jackpot! Added bonus that it had my favorite color yellow in it! For summer weddings it’s nice to have a dress that would look good throwing a cardigan over too, because sometimes the evenings are cooler or its freezing inside. Use these warmer months to find a dress that is fun with vibrant colors.
I found my awesome dress from a boutique in Fort Worth called the Beehive. Which brings me me to a random thought I wanted to share. Lately, I have been more interested in shopping at local boutiques. If you don’t you should strongly consider. I am a huge online shopper, I almost never go to the mall. Only for emergencies will you see me in a mall. They are too crowded, shopping with kids is never fun, and I feel that I always end up settling for an outfit. I like to price compare and it’s easier for me to put my outfit together shopping online. However, shopping at boutiques has been refreshing. Part of me was missing the act of just going to a store and trying stuff on, plus
I loved it because I still didn’t have to deal with the crowds. So if you are like me definitely consider it! I found that you also see items with a lot more character. Just a random tip! 🙂
