MacKenzie-Childs Table Setting Ideas

I have been loving MacKenzie-Childs for quite some time.  The quirky and elegant brand had been a favorite of my for a while. I had the opportunity in October to take part in their Dallas event where members of the MC team would come and host fellow bloggers and I.  It was a fun day doing activities such as floral arranging. created a leopard pie dish, and wreath making! I also got to learn more about the brand and fell in love with the brand even more! I love that they pride themselves on originality of their products, and wanted to make MC attainable for many budgets. I enjoyed meeting fellow bloggers and I am not gonna lie I was pretty proud of my painting skills!

After attending that event I was so inspired by everything I learned during my time with the MacKenzie-Childs team.  I couldn’t wait to get back and decorate a space decked in MacKenzie-Childs.  With this being the last Christmas in our home I decided to jazz up our breakfast nook area with new place settings and holiday decor.  I used a combination of items I already owned along with MacKenzie-Childs items.

MacKenzie-Childs Table Setting Ideas

I love bright and airy so I gravitated to their Sweetbriar Collection, and as you know I had love gold so I had to accent everything with gold.  When I saw their Gold Check Flatware I knew this would be a timeless set that I could use for many years.

If you are looking to refresh your table setting or starting from scratch I would recommend starting with the following items:

Flatware – If it works for your budget I would recommend getting a quality set to prevent you from having to replace it quicker in the future.

Plate Sets – Get a both salad and dinner plates.

If you host many gatherings I would recommend starting with 6 place settings.  If it is rare that you host and don’t have a large family you can definitely start with 4.

Drink ware – Wine glasses are key along with regular drink ware tumblers or goblets.

Table Linens – Start with a table runner and/or table cloth and of course napkins.

I have created so many memories in this house, and cannot wait for all the memories we will make in our new home.  This is definitely bittersweet styling this table for the last time, and this will not go with us on to the next home. I am looking forward to bring all of my MacKenzie-Childs items with me to our new home.
