Tips For Planning Easter Family Outfits

Easter will be here in just under 3 weeks! I cannot believe it! We never forget the reason for this holiday, and always make it the main focus.  BUT…for me I an added perk to this holiday is dressing our family up in our Easter Sunday best.

We go to a relatively laid back dress attire church, so I always enjoy that 1 day out of the year to go all out and really get the family looking cute.  Styling my family comes relatively easy (well outside wondering what will to put Cameron in because he is not too cool for most the clothes I want to put him in. Ugh) With that, I wanted to give some tips on what to help you when picking out your family’s Sunday best!

• Order Fast: If you haven’t already you need to be shopping for your family pretty quickly.  I’ve found it gets pretty picked over when trying to find outfits for each of the boys as it gets closer to the holiday.  Especially when you would like to have your kids outfits coordinate.
• Have fun with color: Typically, I like to stick with pastels or brights for Easter.  It’s spring so I like to brighten it to match with the season.  Incorporate Yellows, Pinks, Bright Blues, Baby Blues, even a fun Purple.
• Coordinate children: I love matching the boys for Easter.  I plan to match Cyrus and Calvin, and then have Cameron coordinate with similar colors.  Most children’s stores with have Easter coordinating sets that will allow you to mix and match pieces that are part of one collection.
• Pick a focal point: Us being a family of 5 if I choose many different patterns it can get pretty out of control and busy quickly.  I like to pick one family member’s outfit to be the focal point.  For Easter most times I will make my outfit the focal point and choose a bold print.
• Ladies be over the top: This holiday you are bringing out your best of all Sunday best! I love a great midi statement skirt, or fun patterned dress.  You can never be too over the top on this holiday in my book.
