We have now taken 2 family ski trips and each were amazing, truly a trip of a life time. You can read about our Beaver Creek trip and Keystone Resort trip. After packing and traveling on a family ski trip you learn a lot about what you ski essentials you need and don’t need.
Before our first trip is was very overwhelming thinking about everything we had to purchase. When I first starting looking it all seemed so expensive. We live in Dallas so we don’t have winter gear really so we were starting from scratch. Thankfully, I am a deal searcher so I found a way to get the biggest bang for my buck with my ski gear. I found most of our items from Amazon that were a fraction of the price.
Since we only go skiing once or twice a year we rent our skiing instead of buying. If you go skiing frequently you may want to consider making the investment to purchase your skis.
To help you prepare for your upcoming ski trip I am sharing a full packing list and guide. Hopefully this will help you find affordable options for your ski trip.
You can download and print it off to check off the list while packing by clicking link below.
Family Skip Trip Check-List
Our Ski Gear List
Ski Jacket – Mine, Rick’s, Calvin’s, & Cameron’s
Ski Pants – Mine (included with the jacket), Rick’s, Calvins & Cameron’s
Thermal Base Layer – Mine & Boys
Ski Gloves – Mine, Rick’s, & Boys
Hats – My hat
Another thing I learned is that often when you go in winter conditions you think get on your bulkiest and warmest clothing. However, when you are skiing you want items that are light but still cold proof. We have skied 2 years with the items above and it has worked for us each time.
Don’t forget to download the full list and print it out to help when your purchasing and packing.
