Boys Bunk Bed Room Ideas

Our boys bunk bed room is finally finished! Let me take you on the journey of deciding to get a bunk bed. 

The boys all have their own room right now.  We live in a 5 bedroom home.  However, we are in preparation for our new house and starting to get furniture that will be for the home we are building.  I am starting now so that we aren’t hit with all the furniture expense at once. The home we are building will be also 5 bedrooms but the rooms will be a bit bigger.

I have shared with my community that Rick and I have made the decision to have a 4th, God willing, and that means we will be out of rooms.  Building a 6 bedroom house was just not an option, and we always want to keep our guest bedroom.  That is how we came to the decision of having Calvin and Cyrus share rooms.

3 Reasons to Get Bunk Beds four your Boys:

3. Kids don’t like being in room alone

These are 3 reasons I would recommend you getting bunk beds: Calvin has a great room, yet we find him sleeping next to Cameron almost every night.  He  just always wants to be close to someone.  With all of these reasons we made the decision to put Cyrus and Calvin in the same room.

I know sometimes bunk beds get a bad wrap for safety concerns and being inconvenient, so we decided to do our research and get the best bunk bed for our boys bunk bed room.  We opted to get a bunk bed with stairs! I love it so much more than the ladder, and it makes it very convenient.  Also, calms my nerves so I don’t have to worry about any of the kids falling out.

We decided to get a bunk that would give Calvin room to grow.  We got a twin top bunk and full bottom.  Calvin was currently in a twin, but this will make it perfect as he gets older.  Since I have boys, we opted to get the boys gray furniture that wasn’t too dark but also would hide marks.

Now let’s talk about the theme for our boys bunk bed room….we did ROBOT theme! I LOVE IT!

Unique and will allow the boys to get older and not worry about it being not age appropriate.

Bunk Bed

Our family is hooked on Purple so we opted to get everything Purple to go in the boys room.  They have both Purple mattresses, mattress protectors, and pillows.  Rick and I started first with a Purple mattress and after months of using it we so a difference in the quality of our sleep.  With that, we knew we wanted all the boys to have it, because the kiddos need great sleep too.  It is worth the investment.  I have coupon code you can use to get a discount!

The boys bunk bed room came together so nicely with the robot themeI  It has been so easy for the boys to get up and down on the bunk bed and they absolutely love it! I can’t wait to bring it to the new house because there are a couple other additions I will make with the room, once they are in a bigger room.
